Some Cellartracker comments:

11/13/2017 - STAGS LIKES THIS WINE: 92 Points
Bottle in perfect condition, very well integrated, layered dark fruit with plenty of life still in it.

2/12/2017 - PAVEL_P WROTE:
Bottle not in the best condition, cork entirely soaked. Healthy medium garnet. Forest floor, dark and red fruit, leather and then this unpleasant slightly mouldy note I run into so often when drinking red wines with soaked corks. Not TCA per se but am convinced the wet cork picks up undesired flavours from the cellar much easier. A pity. No rush in drinking bottles in good condition - this has good stuffing for several more yours. 90 for correct bottle
8/29/2015 - BANDREAS LIKES THIS WINE: 92 Points
Brilliant carmine red colour; on the nose the classics: leather, cedar shavings plus some funk like sweaty socks.
On palate very harmonious and elegant - tannins well integrated. A classy wine with great complexity and a wonderful finish.

6/7/2015 - TUBULUS WROTE:
Some bright raspberry and a bit of bretty funk on the nose. Minimal tannin, good acidity. Still a very nicely drinking wine...

6/22/2013 - OLDWINES LIKES THIS WINE: 95 Points
I'm not sure what others have been drinking but this wine was perfectly mature, nuanced and luscious to drink. Double decanted at 5pm and drunk thru 10pm l thought this was beautiful, complex and subtle. The nose was great with layers of fruit, spice and cedar. Definitely a feminine styled wine but with red fruits, cedar and a surprising liveliness given the age. I feared this was too old but was pleasantly surprised. My last bottle of a case drunk over 3 decades...superb!
5/16/2010 - GREENBLANKET WROTE:
From professional storage, this was pretty darned good. The nose led with remnants of red fruit and spice and the palate showed the same fruit with some remaining structure. There were also notes of earth and dark vegetables that I found interesting and maybe characterful but were unsettling to some of our dinner party. Maybe a touch beyond fully mature but an interesting counterpoint to the younger and more heralded Bdx on the table.

2/15/2010 - FRED112 WROTE: 82 Points
Still some fruit left in this old leathery thing. Fine old wine. Won't last much longer.

12/13/1997 - ZWEDER WROTE: 97 Points
Aged top Bordeaux with my local tasting club (@ My place): For 5 of the 7 participants of this tasting this was the WOTN. Extremely complex and in the perfect drinking stage. Everything is so soft, but also still powerful. Beautiful oak, round, ripe cassis, elegant and in perfect harmony and with an extremely long finish.
