The two most recent tasting notes on 1981 Chateau Palmer on CellarTracker:-

"Beautiful wine, that showed very well. This was the red of the night in most of our ratings.Has quite a bit of life left to it and could go many years, though without any improvement...why wait?".

CellarTracker. (3/11/2014).

"Exactly what a good aged Bordeaux should taste like, with Margaux perfume (though a friend thought there was some acetone on the nose) and a little fruit left.Tannins resolved. For me,it was my wine of the day, above some elegant Burgundies, new Californians, and much else...".
