Description

A rare opportunity to buy three bottles of 1982 claret...a legendary vintage in the Medoc.

La Tour St.Bonnet makes a rather full-bodied,fleshy,deeply colored wine. Both the 1982 and 1983 are rather serious wines, with a lot of character and intensity.

Robert Parker.(The Wine Buyer's Guide. 1988).

I don't drink Cabernet or Bordeaux blends as much as I once did. When I do,this is the kind of wine that holds my attention.I have bought Tour St Bonnet in good ageworthy vintages such as 1982,1990 and 1995 and never been disappointed. No other cabernet blend I know gives as much serious pleasure for the price. And it ages well.
Like most Chateauneuf-du-Pape estates and some of the more traditional Bordeaux ones, Tour St. Bonnet ages its wines in large oak foudres that are seasoned enough that they impart no oak traits. The alcohol level is 12%.
