Ch Lascombes '83 Margaux 2nd Growth: Good level - Base of Neck, good crisp complete label and capsule.

This 1983 is medium to dark ruby in color, with a rich, spicy, berry-like aroma of some intensity. This fat, concentrated, smoothly textured wine has reached maturity. It appears to be one of the best wines made at the property in over a decade.

Ch Branaire Ducru St Julien 4th Growth.
Level Base of Neck. Label Crisp and complete as is the capsule.

Somewhat soft for Branaire, with a medium-weight texture and relatively lush fruit, the 1983 is a moderately tannic, compact wine that is similar to the 1981 Branaire only less elegant and charming.

Both bottles have evidently been extremely well cellared.
