The lot consists of 3 bottles of 1983 Claret:-

One bottle of 1983 Chateau Haut-Bailly (Pessac-Leognan).
One bottle of 1983 Chateau de Fieuzal (Pessac-Leognan).
One bottle of 1983 Chateau Lafleur Gazin (Pomerol).

In 1983 in Graves,there were wonderful wines from those Graves chateaux in the Pessac Leognan area (Haut-Brion,La Mission-Haut-Brion,Haut-Bailly,Domaine de Chevalier,and de Fieuzal).

"I have always liked this class of red Graves and find the 1983 de Fieuzal a charmer.First noted,crisp and fragrant at the Thorman Hunt in May 1984,and again at Christies in October '84:figs and blackthorn nose.More recently,paler in colour,nose sweaty,tannic,opening up with strawberry-like fragrance".
