Some recent Cellartracker comments:

3/25/2018 - DIANE (LI) WROTE:
This bottle is both fresher and sweeter than the 1989 Beychevelle I had last week. This has deep, dark fruit, cedar, barnyard. Fully resolved tannins, velvety, and an aftertaste that goes on and on with a bit of milk chocolate at the end. Drank it with braised beef in red wine.

10/9/2017 - CHATTERS WROTE:
The Grand Tour - day eight (Bordeaux): Green notes, funky, wet hay and horse shit, pencil shavings, saddle leather, sour bois and cigar box over lovely cassis and cherry and floral notes with a touch of volatile acidity. Woof. More fleshy than juicy, cigar box, slight leather, mushrooms, wet, long, tannins are still present but calm. Rather pleasant and easy in a funky way.

8/9/2017 - SIGNOTIM LIKES THIS WINE:94 Points
My 3rd try with this wine and finally opened a pristine bottle. Cork was soaked nearly all the way through but no signs of seepage and cork came out in one piece. Broad, powerful bouquet of pipe tobacco, cedar, spices, and red fruit. Medium bodied on the palate with silky mouth feel and plenty of tart cherry and red currant fruit. Very fresh mid palate, not showing its age, and good persistence on the finish. Excellent with steak.

7/28/2017 - ANDTHEODOR WROTE:93 Points
Reading my note from 4/15/2016 describes this almost perfectly. Squarely in my zone for mature claret, smoky green elements surpassing the fruit and melted tannin. Could just cuddle up with this bottle all night.
