Description

In recent years,Chateau Angelus has grown immensely in stature and has been one of the few Bordeaux wines in which buyers have continued to show interest.Its wine has continued to grow in popularity and price.
This could possibly be because Angelus seems now to be the favorite wine of James Bond! Chateau Angelus was seen and drunk by Bond in both the films "Casino Royale" and more recently in "Spectre":-

"The Live-ex Bordeaux 2014 price guide reveals that only four Chateaux - Angelus,Calon-Segur,Le Petit Mouton,and Le Pin - have shown meaningful returns since the 2009 vintage"

Since the above article,top Bordeaux wine prices in general have surged (some Chateau as much as 30%),with Chateau Angelus still leading the way.


"Another inky,purple/black-colored wine,the 1994 Angelus offers up heavenly scents of smoked meats,barbecue spices,hickory wood,and plenty of cassis and kirsch.The fruit's phenomenal purity and denseness,as well as its overall balance,is admirable in view of the massive muscular personality of this huge,full-bodied wine oozing with extract.It is a tour de force in winemaking. Anticipated maturity:now-2020".
