Description

1 bottle of 1994 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru, stored in my Eurocave. The fill level and color are perfect; the label is perfect.

The cheapest that you can buy this wine for is in France at €278 per bottle. The store's description of the wine on their website is: "The ultimate in finesse and harmony with notes of violet, fallen leaves, moss, loam, leather and forest floor". (A special thank you to my friend Olivier for helping with the translation.)

Shipping costs £15 to the mainland UK and is paid for by the buyer, but the wine can also be picked up from me directly in postcode N1 or EC2. I accept bank transfers or Paypal (Paypal users please add 3%).

This wine was showing hints of maturity, but it was amazing that in being open, in a glass for two hours, it was not falling apart. Lovely notes of spice, black cherry and asparagus, and showing enough intensity to tell me that it will last for many years to come.

There is also one review on winenotes.co.uk:

Deep red to tawny.
Concentrated and complex nose of berries, tobacco and barnyard.
Full bodied with sweet berry fruit and truffles, soft, smooth texture with excellent balance of oak and acidity.
A sensual, voluptuous wine - superb.
