In his most recent review of older Riojas, Jay Miller awarded this wine with 93 Points. (eRobertParker June 2010).

In Robert Parker's book "Parker's Wine Buyer's Guide. Sixth Edition", he names Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva as a ***** (outstanding) Bodegas.
He describes the 1994 vintage in Spain:-

"Spanish wine producers have pronounced 1994 as Spain's vintage of the century. It was one of the hottest years on record and,unlike France, Spain was not troubled by September rain. From bottle, the top wines are indeed impressive, especially those from Priorato, Rioja, and Ribera del Duero".
