"Thick and compact wine,although slightly fat.Stunning aromas of violets,berries.Full-bodied and chunky,with lovely tobacco and cherry flavors and a long velvety-textured finish.Best after 2002".

"Opaque ruby red.Nice earthy nose,fruit is subdued.High tannins and acidity on the palate but good fruit too.Black cherry and liquorice over a layer of plummy flavours.Oaky tannins prominent on the finish.Still very dry and tannic.Needs time.Very good".
