In contrast to the powerful,tannic 1996,the 1995 D'Angludet is a silky,supple,charming,forthcoming wine that is well above its cru bourgeois classification.The color is a healthy,saturated,deep ruby/purple,and the wine offers up gobs of jammy black fruits intermixed with subtle herbs,spice,and toast.In the mouth,the wine displays excellent richness,a layered,medium-bodied personality,well-disguised tannin and acidity,and a hedonistic mouthfeel.A sleeper of the vintage. Last tasted November 1997.
