"The 1996 Charmail reveals an inky,opaque purple color,and stunningly sweet aromatics of creme de cassis,black raspberries,and licorice.Dense and full-bodied,with amazing richness and purity,this wine has to be tasted to be believed.It could easily merit an outstanding rating after bottling".

"After about an hour of air and warming,simply delightful,not overly complex,but wonderful Bordeaux...drank 2/3 of a bottle,but did not want to overdue on a school night,so corked,and threw back in wine fridge...forgot it for a week,but opened tonight with NY strip and found it better than the week before! A very underrated,over achieving,great bang for the buck Haut-Medoc".
