Description

This wine was third in The Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wine List for 2002.The tasting notes were as follows:-

"Solid and focused,with mineral,blackberry,and licorice characters.Full-bodied and very chunky,with lots of tannin,and a long,long finish.Needs time to open.Best after 2003".

"Pop and pour.It doesn't need long to show a lovely nose of sour cherry,truffle,and hints of leather and earth".
"This has mellowed down and is showing beautifully.The palate is soft and elegant,exhibits red fruit,dark cherry and spice,along with subtle secondary notes.The tannin is soft and fine with a nice long aftertaste".
