Description

1998 was the last year that Sarah and Sparky Marquis were in charge of wine production at this vineyard,and it is generally considered their best.They then moved on to oversee production at Mollydooker.At Fox Creek,they built the winery's reputation up to cult status;however since they left,it is debatable whether the quality of Fox Creek wines has ever achieved Sparky's original high standards.

"Fox Creek produces 1500 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve annually.This wine is aged in 100% new French oak.The brilliant 1998 is opaque black/purple-colored,with an explosive nose of licorice,blackberry,cassis,tar,and new oak.This huge,ripe wine is layered,thick,smoky,and concentrated,a true blockbuster from this superb vintage". Anticipated maturity: now-2018.
