I bought this en primeur from Haynes Hanson& Clark, Anthony Hanson MW said of this wine 'There were 4 sources for this cuvee,2 from the Pernand side of the hillside,2 from near the village of Aloxe-Corton. Assembled in a tasting glass,as they slowly complete the transformations of their sugars and acids,their assessment is a beguiling, and already entirely pleasurable experience. 1999 is a white Burgundy vintage where the best wines have both subtlety and great potential harmony. In the case of this Corton-Charlemagne, the colour is rich green-gold,with beautiful,ripe aromas. Richness and structure combine with honeyed,creamy texture,good acidity and superb length.'
