Description

The lot consists of 3 bottles of 1999 Claret:-

One bottle of 1999 Chateau Prieure-Lichine (Margaux 4eme Cru Classe).
Two bottles of 1999 Chateau Potensac (Medoc Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel).


Robert Parker describes Chateau Prieure-Lichine as follows:-

"The cellars have undergone a major renovation,the vineyards have been restructured,and the property is doing malolactic fermentation in barrel as well as microbullage (oxygenation of the lees,as practiced in some Burgundy and St.Emilion cellars).All this has translated into a superb 1999,and a 2000 that is unquestionably Prieure-Lichine's finest sucess to date".
"The 1999 displays the same characteristics as the 1998 in addition to more fruit,texture,glycerin and volume.The result is a nearly outstanding,seductive,multidimensional Prieure-Lichine with more fat and ripe fruit than I have seen in many years.Drink it over the next 10-12 years".

"Owned by Jean-Hubert Delon of Chateau Leoville-Las-Cases,this Cabernet-based blend would not look out of place in a line up of cru classes.Despite its lowly appellation,it often confounds experts in blind tastings and ages well too".
