1999 Henri Perrot-Minot Charmes-Chambertin (France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru) Burghound, 1/1/2002, 1st Quarter, 2002, Allen Meadows (web) 91 This is much like the Mazoyères yet with an even broader range of flavors with the same lovely complexity, slightly more pronounced structure with tannins that have a slightly dusty texture in the mouth. There is also slightly more buffering sap and the same elegant balance. A lovely effort offering good intensity and, for this style of wine, relatively precise flavor delivery. (drink 2008-2015)
