Owned by the Delon family of Leoville Las Cases,Potensac has been a noteworthy offering for more than two decades.
With yields of 35 hectoliters per hectare,and a selection process that allowed only 60% of the crop in this Cru Bourgeois,Potensac sets the standard for its peers.The elegant,fresh,deep ruby/purple 2000 reveals a grapy,red currant,black cherry,mineral,earth,and wood-scented bouquet.It will be long-lived for a wine of its class. Anticipated maturity: now-2015.

In my revue of the 2000 vintage in issue #146 of the Wine Advocate,I forgot to include my review of the 2000 Potensac.It is a beautiful sleeper of the vintage.Rich and concentrated,it may be the finest Potensac since the 1982.
