Description

My last three bottles straight from an original wooden box recently released from The Wine Society.
Consequently all bottles are in perfect condition in every respect.

An excellent effort from Belgrave, the saturated dark ruby-colored, medium-bodied 2000 offers a sweet aromatic and flavor profile of plums, black currants, cherries, licorice, and dried Provencal herbs. The wine is deep, elegant, and medium-bodied, with solid tannin in the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2014.

This obscure classified growth produced its finest wine to date in 2000. An inky ruby/purple color accompanies its sweet, expressive bouquet of black fruits, minerals, and toasty oak. With excellent texture, medium to full body, ripe tannin, and low acidity, this impressive Haut-Medoc will be drinkable between 2006-2016. A sleeper.
