The lot consists of three bottles of Cru Bourgeois from the outstanding 2000 Bordeaux vintage:-

One bottle of Chateau D'Arsac 2000 Cru Bourgeois (Margaux).(Gold medal at the 2002 Concours de Bordeaux Vins D'Aquitaine).
One bottle of Chateau Charmail 2000 Cru Bourgeois (Haut-Medoc).
One bottle of Chateau Peyrabon 2000 Cru Bourgeois (Haut-Medoc).

These bottles should currently be drinking and holding at the peak of their drinking window.


Robert Parker describes the quality of the fabulous 2000 vintage in Bordeaux:-

The 2000 vintage was Bordeaux's magnum opus...the pinnacle of quality.Bordeaux quality has never been better and the 2000 vintage provides the proof.

Charmail is one of the finest Cru Bourgeois in Haut-Medoc.This brilliantly made blend of 55% Merlot,25% Cabernet Sauvignon,and 20%Cabernet Franc unquestionably competes with some Medoc classified growths.
A star among the Medoc's Cru Bourgeois,Charmail's 2000 boasts a black/purple color,as well as a sweet,seductive bouquet of licorice,blackberries,and cassis.Pure,medium-bodied,and loaded at the front end,with moderate tannin in the finish,this full,concentrated Haut-Medoc will hit its peak in 1-2 years and evolve nicely for 10-15.
