If I may quote Hand-Picked Burgundy!: a few years ago this wine "garnered 97 points and was picked as the top wine at an EWS [Wine Advocate Executive Wine Seminar] blind tasting of Grands Crus 2000 in New York. eRP reported that the Laurent Mazis triumphed over Roumier's Bonnes Mares, Lignier's Clos de la Roche, the Musignys of de Vogue and Mugnier, Rousseau's Chambertin and many more in the tasting organised by EWS."
