Chateau La Gaffeliere has been owned by the Malet de Roquefort family since the 16th century,a record in St.Emilion! It is situated between chateax Pavie and Ausone.

"Always one of the most elegant,restrained,graceful St.Emilions,the wines of La Gaffeliere have been showing more stuffing in their mid-palate,as well as greater sweetness and concentration over the recent vintages.
La Gaffeliere's 2000 exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with a sweet bouquet of black cherries,currants,minerals,and subtle new oak.Medium-bodied,stylish,and graceful,with considerable finesse as well as moderate tannin on the finish,the balance and overall harmony suggest that this wine is a keeper. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2020".
