Description

The lot consists of three bottles Mont-Redon,two from the 2001 vintage and one bottle from the 2000 vintage.
Both 2001 and 2000 were superb vintages for Chateauneuf du Pape.Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar) awarded both these Mont Redon vintages with 90 Points and these wines should now be drinking at their peaks:-

"The 2000 vintage is uniform and consistent throughout the southern Rhone,but is particularly brilliant in Gigondas,Vacqueras,and Chateauneuf du Pape"

"In Chateauneuf du Pape,2001 is consistently excellent to outstanding.This area produced full-bodied,dense ruby/purple-colored,powerful,tannic,chewy,pure wines.This is a very promising,ageworthy vintage".
