Description

CANTENAC BROWN -Thought this was drinking very well. Classic Bordeaux IMO. This wine has now shed most of the fruit, and was herbal and tannic, very similiar to 1996, 1999 and other 2002's I have consumed. Wonderful aromatics and fans of the more herbal, and restrained styles should appreciate this wine. Not a complex wine, but still very nice
DUCRU BEAUCAILLOU -Pop and poured. Brown rim around violet core. Nose is q seductive, open w sweet meaty aromas. On the palate there is roundedness and polish showing thru but there is definitely some struggle to maintain its weight midpalate. Secondary flavors of soft blue fruits dominate. Balanced and quality juice.
MARQUIS DE TERME -Ripe black cherry and blueberry on the nose, quite intense, then a big, full-bodied attack of blackberry. Surprisingly rich, with a second wave of redcurrant and blackcurrant. The finish is slightly disjointed, with on the one hand a wonderful searing sensation of intense fruit slipping down the throat, and on the other, a dryness on the tongue that gives a feel of greenness. Overall a very welcome surprise - this is better than the 00 at the moment.
