98 Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reservee stands out as one of the all-time great wines made by Laurence Feraud and her father, Paul. I remember first tasting it from a large tank as it was still fermenting and it was already impressive! It is a full-bodied, powerful wine that must tip the scales at close to 15.5% natural alcohol. I don’t think this big, chewy, voluptuously textured wine will ever close down. Dark plum/garnet with the classic Provencal display of garrigue, lavender, pepper, kirsch and Asian plum sauce, this full-throttle wine has splendid concentration, silky tannins, and a very voluptuous texture. It should continue to drink well for another 25 years."

97 Wine Spectator
Offers aromas of freshly crushed plum and blackberry with a Port-like headiness, then pumps out dark berry fruit, bramble, licorice, tar and pain d'épices flavors before a flitter of game and garrigue on the finish. Dense and muscular, but also luxurious. Best from 2008 through 2030. 5,830 cases made. –JM

WINECELLAR INSIDER WRITES:
2003 Domaine du Pégaü Cuvée Réservée  (Châteauneuf-du-Pape) 97
This is a super wine and a contender for one of my favourite vintages of Pegau. Fat, rich, dense, lush and packed with layers of perfectly ripe, red and dark red fruits, barnyard, earth, garrigue and peppery spices, this is showing great today and should continue getting even better. The wine was popped and poured. Tasted Aug 21, 2016

This majestic Chateauneuf du Pape gets better each time I taste it. With a perfume that pops the moment the wine hits your glass, jammy black raspberries, licorice, fresh earth, spice, kirsch and garrigue aromas are in full force. The texture is fat, lush, rich and full, ending with a long sensation of fresh, ripe, spice, dark, red berries. This wine of pleasure drinks great today. If you have some in your cellar, pop a cork and see for yourself.

Brief Vacation note - this far exceeding my expectations - see Erics note on 5-19, very accurate.

I know. That’s a big ass score. But this was a perfect bottle with every component completely in sync. Not decanted! I won’t be redundant; read my previous notes. Unfortunately, my last bottle. Highly recommended.

Black fruits, creme, mint leaves, dried herbs on the nose. Tasted black fruits, mint leaves, herbs, garrigue with a slight vegetal, mushroom, essence of chicken tertiaries. Broody with deepset black peppers and bitter aftertaste. Very classy old school complexity. Pushing 95. Open now - this is in its peak.
