Description

Three fine bottles of this popular, modern style of Rioja from the outstanding 2004 vintage.

Jancis: 18/20
"Tempranillo with 14% Graciano and a smidgen of Carignan/Mazuelo*. Coffee beans on the nose and lots of sweet fruit on the palate. Very jazzy and confident. Masses of ripe fruit and then an oak overlay. No pain on the finish - no gratingly dry tannins. Long. Electric. Very well made.(Drink between 2008-2012)

*Actual grape blend is 81% Tempranillo, 14% Graciano, 5% Garnacha

Drinking now and for the next five years I'd say based on prior experience.

A few minor nicks on the labels from rack storage.
