CellarTracker.com community tasting notes average score of 90/100

A great advertisement for following the producer not the vintage, this wine was beautiful and still with a lot of time in hand. Gently double decanted as seemed lean with acidity too prominent to begin with, it opened up nicely across an hour or so. Very much a red fruit profile (i might have guessed Chambolle), the fruit was dominated by crisp cranberry and rasberry and sat against a background of quite intense minerality and emerging earthy notes. The palate was delicate but with surprising weight and lovely texture. No 2004 greeness. Has another 10 years left I would say. ****

If ever a tasting note was an incentive to open a bottle, I thought, it's this one by Paul S. Can it really be as good as he says?
Yes it can. Well past its youth, it's at that interesting stage when all sorts of subtle flavours emerge on the nose and the palate, all bound together by a satisfying and refreshing acidic structure and lingering silky tannins. No hint of any flaw. A delicious mature village Burgundy in its prime. Thanks Paul. dg

Not at all telling of the vintage. I saw only strands of greeness with mostly refreshing lovely juicy Burgundian fruits with atypical vosne spice, some earthiness and good length. Affable , well dressed and approachable.

Burgundies - 2004, 2007 and other "Off" vintages (Giant Garoupa Restaurant): A great little village - this was as good, or better than the majority of the (already pretty good) 1er Crus that we tasted alongside. It had a great nose, showing rather more red-fruit aromas than I would expect, with sweet raspberries, dried cherries and red dates sprinkled with autumnal accents of dried leaves and fruit tea, meat and sweet spices - really attractive, with not a hint of green on it. I liked the palate too, with its ripe dark cherries and blackberries on the attack and lots of fragrant wood spices on the midpalate, all couched in super-soft, almost powdery tannins and juicy acidity moving into a long finish with a final lingering kiss of dark cherry and spice. A delicious wine, drinking wonderfully now. I was really taken by this.

Ripe and spicy dark berry fruit and violet notes introduce relatively big, rich, sweet and intense medium full flavors that display a textured, dusty and firmly structured and linear finish. This is very Vosne in character and though forward, it is sufficiently well-balanced and powerful that it should age well too. (Drink starting 2010)
88/100 Allen Meadows, Burghound

Pristine condition and immaculate provenance. Cellared in a climate controlled wine cellar in Europe since release direct from the Domaine.

For delivery or collection in Dec 2015.
