Description

The 2006 LOKAL SILEX is a blend of Touriga Nacional (85%) and Alfrocheiro Preto. Considering the difficulties of the 2006 vintage, this is an impressive achievement, as it stands more or less equal to the 2005, if not quite as precise. The mid-palate is a little on the thin side (as is the 2005), but the wine is more expansive and open, the fruit flavors quite attractive. There is just a touch of game on the wine that gives it some character. Drink now-2016.

Fresh dark cherry fruit nose with some spiciness. Pure and brooding. The palate is quite dense and spicy with good structure and some elegance. Great balance here: a lovely fresh, modern wine that stylish and alluring.
