2009 -
They have dropped the d' in the name. Chateau Angludet. Sichel family owned since 1961. 32ha planted at the 80ha property.
Here we get back it to some roast, leading slightly into roast coffee.
55%Cab, 35% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot are planted at the estate.
laced with iron mineral notes to the nose. shows very nice acid on the palate.
Historically, classified as a 3rd growth, but then broken up, so it was left out of the 1855 classification.
2011 -
Clean dark fruit nose with a very nicely integrated wood balance. Entry is smooth and the mid-weight mouth grows round and smooth to a tasty toasty balsamic smoky finish. Tannins back and fine. Can actually drink this well now. It is not really complicated but, well done, fresh and tasty. 92 on seriousness or complexity but very pleasurable to drink.
