Description

2009 was a wonderful vintage for Bordeaux's Cru Bourgeois wines:-

"What is so striking about 2009 - and I haven't seen this kind of excitement since 1982 - is the quality of the cru bourgeois and petit vins and generic Bordeaux that are available. In short,2009 is the greatest vintage I have tasted in Bordeaux since 1982,of which it is a modern-day version, but greatly improved.
Just like in 1990 and 1982,the low acidity, the very ripe fruit, the high glycerin levels from the elevated alcohols, and the stunning concentration and fruit from low yields will give most of these wines incredible appeal in their youth".

Robert Parker. (The Wine Advocate. #188. April 2010).

"Bright red-ruby.Aromas of plum, roasted meat, and smoky minerality, with a lightly candied quality emerging with air.Rich and sweet for this bottling, with a ripe, smooth palate feel and good definition to the dark fruit, game and floral flavors.Tannins are nicely ripe and supple.Sneaky flavor intensity and length here. The wine should give pleasure over the next six to eight years"
(89 Points).

Stephen Tanzer. (The International Wine Cellar. July 2012)

"The home residence of the construction magnate,Clement Fayat, this property, sitting in the very southern end of Medoc has turned out a very attractive wine with lots of black currant, black cherry and cedary notes. It is evolved.elegant, medium to full-bodied,with a dark plum/ruby color.Savory and complex already, this wine should drink nicely for another 7-10 years".

Robert Parker. (The Wine Advocate. February 2012).
