Description

2009 was an outstanding vintage in the Medoc and Chateau de Camensac possibly produced its greatest wine ever in this vintage:-

"One of the finest, if not the very best Camensac I have ever tasted, this wine possesses loads of black currants, black cherries, cedar wood and spice box as well as a bit of earth and underbrush. It is medium to full-bodied, very generously endowed and quite long. Anticipated maturity: now-2025".

"Big nose of blackcurrant, blackberry and tobacco. Full of black fruits and slight minty flavour. Full body with a lot of mineral to support the structure. Tannin was still too hard and aggressive. Slightly uncomfortable to drink now. Perhaps waiting for a few years more of aging. Has potential to grow".
