Description

2009 was an outstanding vintage in Bordeaux.Chateau Grand Corbin is a 30 acre estate on the St.Emilion/Pomerol border.This Grand Cru Classe wine is a blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Franc with an alcohol volume of 14%.


"What's so striking about 2009 - and I haven't really seen this kind of excitement since 1982 - is the quality of the petits vins and generic Bordeaux that are available.In short,2009 is the greatest vintage I have tasted in Bordeaux since 1982,of which it is a modern day version but greatly improved".

"Nose of black fruit, licorice, vanilla. On the palate the wine is dense and powerful but balanced and fresh, black fruit, licorice and a hint of vegetality. Very interesting to keep".
