Description

Basically this is Niepoort LBV, so is top drawer as far as LBV quality goes. It's pretty much inky black in colour.
The 2009 LBV has a deep violet colour. It has a complex aroma in which the red fruit notes are predominant with notes of cherries and spices and a peppery and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it is concentrated and full-bodied with firm yet elegant and smooth tannins. The vibrant acidity provides freshness and balance to the wine, elevated with a long and pleasant finish.

This port is ready to be enjoyed.
