Grosset Polish Hill is widely regarded as the best dry Riesling in Australia (maybe the New World). Where it cost £100 s for the best wine from an area, here is a opportunity to try this fantastic wine (with a £50 reserve a bottle). In my opinion, it important to have this wine with over 10 years of age - it ensures that it has mellowed but lost none of its zesty, fresh crispness.

The reputable Langtons auction house rate both years from Clare Valley 10 out of 10

I brought these when they were initially released and have had them in a temperature controlled cellar ever since - the wine labels do have some minor wine rack nicks - see photo.

The 2012 Polish Hill Riesling has an expressive nose replete with very ripe and seductive, warm apples and green mango aromas intermingled with frangipani, soursop and honeydew. Opulent in the mouth, it is youthfully tight though, like the nose, it already has an expressive character and is finishing long. Though approachable now, it should drink best from 2015 to 2026+.
