Corbières has come on a lot since the days of supplying the French army with the courage to go 'over the top' à la Rum Ration for their British allies.

A Wine Society Champion in 2013, I bought & tried all the reds, this was my favourite. £8.95 a bottle I would certainly recommend & buy again. Warm, spicy as you would expect but also very well balanced for a wine so young.

Not a WOW-wine, but after a few sips you can loose your heart to it. Certainly one of the best Mediterranean wines I ever had. 14% alcohol, but you don t taste it nor smell it. Neither you smell or taste over-ripeness. It has a sound acidity which makes you feel drinking a wine with a certain freshness.
