Description

Australian Wine Companion 94/100

Unflinchingly in the biggest is best camp; deeply coloured, with luscious, mouthfilling black fruits and dark chocolate; demands that you share the bottle with three others and order a thick rump steak. Not my style, but well-made.

AWC, James Halliday Issue: Mar 2009

Wine Spectator 93/100

Ripe and peppery, with a spicy note weaving over the black cherry, dried tomato, liquorice and mint flavours that keep pulsing through the long, expressive finish.

WS, Harvey Steiman Issue: Jul 31 2009

International Wine Cellar, 92/100

Saturated ruby. Intensely floral, high-pitched aromas of black raspberry, mulberry, violet and rose, lifted by a pungent peppery quality. Spicy dark berry flavours gain flesh and sweetness with air, picking up a smoky mineral quality and a note of candied violet. Finishes juicy and very long, with berry skin and floral notes.
