This very rare bottle impresses from the get go with it's appearance, but there is so much more to it.

The Alexander Winery is situated at Beit Yitzhak, a farming estate set in the heart of the Sharon region of Israel, an elite, family owned winery, renowned as one of Israel’s most seasoned wineries. Founded in 1996 by Yoram Shalom on the family’s estate, the winery is named after his father, the late Alexander Shalom from whom Yoram acquired the inspiration and love of wine. The winery maintains a one hundred and twenty year old family tradition of wine making which began in Italy and North Africa.

Over the years, the Alexander Winery has gained many awards in Israel and around the world. Its art of wine making is a tradition, combining family heritage, passion and creativity with knowledge and innovation.

Alexander the Great series is a collection of exclusive, premium and super-premium wines based on the finest of grapes that their vineyards have to offer. The series is luxury in every detail. Particularly meticulous attention is applied to every single detail of the Alexander the Great series, beginning with the vineyards, through production to the spectacular bottles.

Amorolo, from our Alexander the Great series, has earned numerous prizes and shown great success in Israel and internationally. On the website maintained by internationally acclaimed wine critic Robert Parker, the Amorolo 2011 features in the Israel wine’s section with the highest grade ever received by an Israel wine: 94 points.

Amorolo, from the Alexander the Great series, was inspired by the Italian Amarone. Amorolo is a unique blend of 5 varieties of grapes grown in the Ben Zimra vineyard. This full rich wine offers concentrated aromas and flavors of ripe fruit that will deepen over the years.

Aged for 40 months in new and old oak barrels.

This metallic label integrates silver and bronze. The illustration shows details from a medallion and chain belonging to the Alexander family’s Tunisian jewellery collection.

In great condition and presentation this very rare bottle lies in a wine merchants premises.
