Description

What you’re bidding on:
One 75cl bottle of 2021 Allram Ried Gaisberg 1ÖTW Grüner Veltliner, Kamptal DAC, Austria.

About the wine:
Allram is a long-established family estate in the Kamptal, with important holdings in some of the region's leading vineyard sites.

Ried Gaisberg is classified 1ÖTW Erste Lage by the Österreichische Traditionsweingüter, identifying it as one of the Kamptal's recognised top vineyard sites. The vineyard rises to approximately 330 metres and combines metamorphic bedrock with areas influenced by deeper loess soils.

Allram's Grüner Veltliner comes from the lower part of the Gaisberg, where the loess influence is particularly well suited to the variety.

2021 was an excellent Austrian vintage and this is a serious, ageworthy expression of Grüner Veltliner rather than a simple early-drinking style. At five years from vintage it remains youthful and has considerable potential for further development.
