Rare chance to acquire a selection of the late great Alois Kracher's highly rated Trockenbeerenauslese's with significant bottle age. The individual numbers signify rising richness and concentration, and change from year to year ( usually 1-10, occasionally 11 or 12). Some cuvees are labelled NV standing for nouvelle vague or new wave and see new oak in their vinification. The others are labelled ZDS ( Zwischen Den Seen or between the lakes and are vinified in stainless steel).
The lot comprises 6 half bottles, 4 from 2001 and 2 from 2002.

2001 Number 5 Welschriesling TBA ZDS. 150 cases made, 93points Wine Spectator, has 209g of RS /litre, 6.9g/l acidity, 11% abv

2001 Number 6 Grande Cuvee TBA NV. 200 cases made 94 points Wine Spectator, has 226g/l of RS, 7.1g/l acidity, 10% abv

2001 Number 8 Welschriesling TBA ZDS. 165 cases made 96 points Wine Spectator, has 284g/l of RS, 7.5g/l of acidity, 8.5% abv.

2001 Number 9 Scheurebe TBA ZDS. 100 cases made, 94 points Wine Spectator, has 317g/l RS, 7.1g/l acidity and 5.5% ABV
