These wines represent a selection from some high quality but little known Australia producers, most from cooler regions such as the Hunter Valley, Adelaide Hills and Orange. The stock comes from the cellar of a now-defunct merchant and is in excellent condition.

Very pale, almost watery appearance with some green tints. Spritzy at first. Very mineral with hints of citrus and nettle. Very fine young Hunter valley Semillon and should develop brilliantly. 4*

A highly aromatic, lemony Semillon with a hint of pear. It’s tight, crisp and refreshingly acidic. Enjoy it today with something fresh out of the sea, or keep it for a different experience 10 years down the line.

CHATTO 2007

Bright straw-green with vibrant aromas of lemongrass and lime. Crisp and lively in the mouth, yet elegant with intense citrus and mineral flavours providing great length.

CUTTAWAY HILL 2007

Vibrant green gooseberry and lemon leaf aromas. Fresh citrus characters balanced by a long, crisp finish combine to produce a typical cool-climate wine with elegance and style.

HAHNDORF HILL 2008

Gorgeously smooth, crisp and refreshing. Wild elderflower, lime and passion fruit on the nose with silky smooth tropical flavours, lime and delicate capsicum on the palate – all perfectly balanced by a magical minerality. A beautiful wine with a sensual mouth-feel.
