98 points Wine Spectator: "Stunning. With mature, burnished notes of candied citrus peel and ginger, clove, fig, quince paste, persimmon and green tea, this offers a rare level of complexity. Yet a current of live-wire acidity still runs underneath it all, cutting through to a mouthwatering finish that makes you beg for more. A case study in greatness." (11/2004)

95 points WA: Pale gold ; the 95 nose is a honeypot filled with gingerbread and overwhelming tropical scents of cheremoya and pineapple ; perfumed notes of orange blossom and candle wax are punctuated by limey, wet stone aroms ; on the palate, refreshing acids clear a path for rich strata of cinnamon-laced, spicyu fruit. The ripping acids, along with intense ( but not cloying) sweetnesse, make this a classic Quarts in the mold of the 1967, 1969, 1976 and (in a slightly less complex way) the 1989. Will last well into the next millenium. 95 .
