Legendary 2010 Vintage - 94 points - Stored in private cellar since purchase.

Tenuta Greppo is the birthplace of Brunello di Montalcino. Each generation at Biondi-Santi has contributed to the absolute uniqueness of the estate wines, at one time with greater attention to the vineyards and management practices, at another focusing on refining the winemaking process.

Regenerative viticulture for Biondi-Santi means managing the vineyard holistically, with the objective of increasing organic material in the soil and microbiological life within the vine’s root apparatus. Additionally, keeping the soil porous and aerated boosts its capacity to accumulate carbon dioxide and to preserve an optimal equilibrium with the plants growing around the grapevine, whether wild or involved in cover-cropping, and within the world of insects populating the vineyard, both prey and predatory. Depending on the characteristics and needs of the diverse types of soil, site-specific sowing, green manure, and mulching will be practiced. Bought at auction unknown provence.
