Description

The "Cellers Capafons-Ossó" winery is located in the municipality of Falset in the province of Tarragona in the Spanish region of Catalonia. The "Mas de Masos" estate in the Priorato area is made up of numerous small plots of land located in two south-facing valleys. The Capafons vineyards are actually integrated with forest and natural areas full of wildflowers, poppies, and pine trees, which effectively keeps the natural ecosystem in balance. The flavor of the wines is certainly influenced by the minerally soils and the abundance of wild herbs. The older vines are between 60 and over 100 years old. The wines Mas de Masos (Grenache, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cariñena) are aged in barriques for at least 12 months before release.
The Mas de Masos, is impressively rich, concentrated and darkly-spicy.
