One 18 Litre bottle of Chateau Cambon La Pelouse, 2000 vintage.

Given that this bottle weights 30.60kg I am offering to deliver it myself with a rough 100 mile radius of Woodbridge, Suffolk. I can meet half-way for those buyers that are further away, but for places like Scotland, the North, the South West I would have to use a courier or figure out some other way of getting it to you. I say this as I worry that it would be broken in transit as it is just a single precious bottle - not to mention making a right mess if it did break - so please bear that in mind if bidding and get in contact if you have questions.

The wine itself is from a very good year and last time I checked you can still buy more recent vintages in places like Waitrose, for those wishing to quickly get a rough idea of the wine before they buy.

If you want to buy and then have bottled the latest vintage of this en primeur you would be looking at the cost of two cases of the wine plus a 100 pound premium for putting it in the Melchior-sized bottle and then you would need to add on VAT, duty and delivery on top. Plus over a decade and a half of storage. I've set the reserve at GBP510 to reflect this. So, it is pricey, but on the other hand if you have a big party or wedding coming up at some point....
