Description

A very rare bottle! Stored in my private Cellar since purchase several years ago.

Vintage embossed metal capsule. Label in great condition. Looks as though it has been very well stored prior to my purchase.

The 1941 Ch d'Yquem was tasted as part of the historic 2005 Yquem vertical tasting in Copenhagen, along with 64 other vintages from 1847 onwards. The tasting notes are as follows.........Colour of pale tea. It had nose of sherry and rum, with substantial acidity on the palate. This was quite full-bodied and concentrated wine, good old one, which apparently has many more years to keep on going.

Judging by the retail prices attributed to this wine (see Wine Searcher), it is indeed still going strong, and with a £1 start and NO RESERVE, you may end up with a bargain!

It has been attributed with 91 WS points.

There is no Reserve on this wine and no Consignment Fees.
