Description

Tasting note: It may or may not have something to do with bio-dynamic practices in the vineyard but this fifth growth continues to outperform its place in the 1855 classification. Violet-scented and pure the 2009 has a lovely freshness and elegance to it with cedar wood damson and black fruits on the palate. A wine that has now achieved Super Second status. 20+ years. [Tim Atkin]

Tasting note: Supple tannins and great concentration of flavours - cedar, violets, blackberries. Still closed down but one can taste the potential. Balanced and fairly long. Tasted in: Bordeaux, France. Maturity: Young. (18-Apr-2013) [Asian Palate Jeannie Cho Lee]

Tasting note: Intense crimson. Slightly overripe, jammy nose. Ripe, fruit-forward entry, clean, oaked mid-palate tinged with a hint of bitterness. Inward-looking at the moment. (12-Mar-2012) [Gilbert & Gaillard]

Price Range of 750ml bottle, ex-tax in GBP
Average: £167 From: £129 To: £210
