I have for sale one bottle of Chateau Beychevelle 2003. The cheapest this can be bought in the UK is £70, my reserve is substantially less than this.

The label is cellar stained but the foil is in great condition.

very good bottle, not very complex at this stage but very appealing. It has everything, good fruit, good acidity, good length. Not a caricature of a 2003 at all. Ready now but can be kept to add complexity.

Nose of caramelised onions, lightly stewed dark fruits! Very dark in colour! Smooth palate, very rich! Not fully mature yet! I think only time can tell how well it is going to be! Be patient!

Used this wine at Commanderie luncheon. This wine was a big hit. Opened nicely and smooth.

9/20/2014 - REMONY WROTE: 90 Points
A magnum at home with the Solons. Still nicely drinkable, unlike two recent 75cl bottles, whose fruit had gone leaving a bland dull wine offering no enjoyment. Good colour, fruit still there, quite a gentle wine, perfect with a lasagne. But it's obvious that it won't last much longer, so drink up in the next few months.
