Description

Two bottles in excellent condition.

Here are the latest three Cellartracker notes:

8/5/2015 - felixp Likes this wine: 96 Points

deep tawny with bricking at the edges. Beautifully perfumed nose that displays everything wonderful about the right bank. Rich, round and long in the mouth, melted tannins but retaining a superb structure. This wine is going from strength to strength. IMO, I would now prefer to drink this than the almighty 82. Stunning wine. Get some.
96 points, drink: now-2025+

6/13/2015 - Leto South Likes this wine: 93 Points

Slightly funky on opening (Cork perfect), gone after 3 hrs in decanter. Fairly deep garnet/plum colour, brownish rim. Tobacco, currants prominent, then minerals, cedar, touch of oak, notes of grass, undergrowth. Medium-to-full body, good acidity, plums, currants. Sandy tannins. Long aftertaste w some alcohol, well balanced. Past its apogee, but still drinking very nicely, probably another 5 years in it.

5/11/2015 - Vinnut Likes this wine: 92 Points

Deep dark garnet in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of developed & mature, ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blueberries & cassis with cedar, herbal & green bell pepper overtones, floral notes of violets, some sous bois, tobacco, leather, earthy, loam, spices, minerals & a touch of vanilla. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced, smooth textured, developed & mature, ripe fruit flavors of sweet cherries, blackberries & dark plums with earthy, truffles, dark cocoa, herbs, some spices, minerals and a slight hint of toasty oak. Lingering silky smooth finish. Drinks quite well at present and should continue with further developing with four to five additional years of aging.
