Description

This was a very strong vintage for Vieux Chateau Certan. The 1990 reveals a deep garnet colour to the rim along with a sweet bouquet of charcoal, licorice, roasted herbs, forest floor, and a meaty, truffle-like scent. A fleshy, full-bodied wine with exceptionally low acidity, plenty of melted tannin, and a long, layered finish, this beauty is close to full maturity, but it is in no danger of falling apart. It should keep for another 15+ years

The 1990 Vieux-Chateau-Certan possesses a mind-blowing nose of pomegranate syrup,marshmallow,Brazilian nuts,subtle Indian spice,and the essence of a freshly rolled Cuban cigar that gains and gains power.Very feminine and flashy,with berry coulis,delicate acids,and seamless oak tannins.The 1990 V.C.C. reminds me very much of Le Pin from the same vintage.There is nothing more beautiful than a Pomerol from an excellent vintage.So precious,it will make you lick the glass for every drop. A pure narcotic thrust! Drink with roasted lamb loin.
