Description

89 Points (excellent) Parker

I’m not sure this amazing effort doesn’t deserve an outstanding score. A big, flamboyant nose of melted licorice, creme de cassis, smoke, and charcoal is accompanied by deep, opulent, fleshy flavors, low acidity, ripe tannin, and abundant glycerin and fruit. Enjoy this sleeper of the vintage now and over the next 12-15 years. It is sexy stuff!Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, 2007

Château d'Angludet (Margaux) 2004: Deep, slightly meaty aroma, complex, with notes of slightly baked fruit. Elegant, perfumed, herby, with ripe, firm, grainy tannins. Firm acidic structure although a little baked character to the fruit here. Nice, traditionally structured style though. Good. From my assessment of Bordeaux 2004. 16+/20 The Wine Doctor

Lifted nose of red and dark soft fruits. A nice chewy palate of crunchy dark fruit. Classic structure. Decanter - Bronze Medal, world wine awards.

7/26/2013 - TSHAHAR WROTE: 90 Points
Needed 4 hours to open up, lovely wine

Tasted by Wine Moose on 4/14/2012 & rated 90 points: still very young. puberty. took over three hours to start showing. didn't let decant long enough. can't wait for the future.

Tasted by dedrislee on 7/2/2011 & rated 91 points: Decant for 1 hour. Ruby red rims, flora bouquet of blackberries, currants, cassis, toasted oak, mushrooms, pencil lead and earth. Textured and balanced tannin, soothing to the palate, not at all austere, ready for its layers of fruits berries, lengthy finish. Goes well with Tuscan Marcelleria Follorni's salami. Will age for another 10 years.
